Hi! My name is Chris, and I founded Atlantis Recording Company in 2024.

17 years earlier I started playing in bands with my best friend Dash Rowe — you might know us as The Good Boxes, UFO8, Los Calicos, or The California Poppies, to name a few — but my fascination with the music-making process has always extended beyond stage performance. Previously I’ve worked at Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco and studied music production at Catalyst in Berlin, Germany, having been called to pursue those opportunities out of the passion I’ve always felt when listening to records and trying to deconstruct them to figure out how they were made, how these utterly unique sounds and patterns were created.

As Dash and I found ourselves enjoying success with The California Poppies in 2020 and beyond, I began to realize I was missing the rich creative wellspring that is the collaborative process of helping others work on their music. Since deciding to open my doors as Atlantis Recording Company, my repertoire has expanded immensely, and the experience has been life changing. And that’s just year one.
